You know those times when you’re sifting through an undercooked ROM, dumping .nbh files right and left, asking yourself: “is this even worth it?” Well, the folks at WMExperts can answer with a resounding fist pump after digging up references to T-Mobile US in an HTC HD2 prerelease ROM that was recently leaked their way. At this point we’re looking at a new 2.01 version of the HD2 software in the T-Mobile version, a big jump from the 1.61 seen in previous leaks, which maybe will smooth over some of those performance woes we experienced with the device. WMExperts also claims a March 2010 release date, which seems a while to wait, but somebody told us once about “good things” coming to “waiters” or something like that, so we’re cautiously optimistic.

There is rumored to be a new category coming to the app world called My Company and it supposed to have apps for businesses to keep in touch with their employees. If you look very closely at the picture you can tell that it is badly photoshoped but never know could happen seeing that most blackberry users are high business people or business owners.

I hate writing a bad post about something but this is just asking for it. There are some leaked pics of the new Bada UI and when you see them you will see why this is a EPIC FAIL. If you look at the first few pics it stole the iphones dialer and scrub bar, Androids widgets, and for some reason Symbians icons which I don’t really know why you would want to copy symbian. I mean its not bad but its not good either. I mean don’t get me wrong it looks great and I see what they are trying to do here take some good parts of different mobile operating systems and put them together and create one good one. I guess we will just have to wait until it launches to really know.
NOTE:these pics are leaked so I am going off the leaked pics.

I just got word that UPS will be launching their Blackberry app tomorrow in the App World. I know this isn’t going to be a bigp
app unless you ship a lot of things via UPS but it can come in handy if you have an account and ship things from time to time.

Thanks to a very generous anonymous tipster, we’ve gotten a number of hands-on pics of Barnes & Noble’s soon to be released (for some) Nook e-reader. The impressions we’ve been given, however, weave a tale of a laggy Android interface, which sounds like what we noticed with the first introduction video. Other fun facts include in-store WiFi browsing coming in 2010, and an important clarification that cover-to-cover book browsing over BN’s network only works for an hour at a time, not unlimited. We’re itching to get our own hands on it, but in the meantime, gloss over these gracious pics. Excerpts from the tipster after the break.
• “The thing lags so much between the e-ink display and the Android touchscreen. All I want to do is use the e-ink display as touchscreen. It’s nice to see the real book art, but its so tiny and laggy that I simply want to leave that screen as soon as I can.”
• “In tiny text in the manual, it states that the in-store WiFi browsing will come in 2010. So your holiday product will work after the holiday. I guess that’s okay for most of the masses because they’ll be getting it in 2010 anyways.”
• “I also can’t remember if this is common knowledge, but you can only browse books cover-to-cover over B&N WiFi for an hour — Not the unlimited that was promised when it launched. I mean, people would just not buy stuff if that was the case, I suppose”

Looks like the rumors where true with Apple acquiring Lala which is a streaming music service that allows you to stream 7 million songs over the internet much like pandora. Now what I want to know is what Apple is going to use the service for maybe just a streaming music app maybe a service like the zune pass where you can listen to unlimited streams for a certain price. Guess where going to have to wait and see.
Nestled in the leaked Android 2.1 ROM, 20 new devices are mentioned by name–including those we knew of already (Dragon, Dream, Hero and Passion) but some new friends too, Bahamas, Bravo, DesireC, Espresso, Halo, HeroCT, HeroC, Huangshan, Incredible, Legend, Liberty, Memphis, Paradise, PassionC, Sapphire and Supersonic. Phew. [ AndroidSpin via BGR]
I was using opera mine beta 5 on my blackberry and I noticed the little tab at the top of it does that look familiar android!!! So there are optimizing it for touch I think.

Alright HTC Hero owners: backup your handset, brew yourself a strong cup of coffee, and get ready to RTFM, because an unofficial Android 2.1 ROM — complete with Sense UI — is available for your handset. A few days back we reported that Android 2.1 was spotted running on the Hero, but now, courtesy of XDA-developers, the rumored build is on the intertubes for all to download. Come on, try it out, we know you’re curious; don’t forget to backup your data, and be sure to let us know how it goes in the comments.

lately ustream has been coming out with apps whether it is for streaming or viewing. So far they have covered mostly every platform. There is android which you have streaming and viewing, and iphone same as android streaming and viewing. So there are really only three more platforms to cover and so far qik has windows and blackberry. They are going to have to take that market away from qik which I don’t think is going to hard seeing that ustream has more members and more options in terms of streaming. So never know soon you may see one for blackberry or palm next.
